It's reported that Japan's Tokyo Steel announced to cut its scrap purchasing prices by ¥500 at its four works from April 20th.
After the adjustment, its H2 scrap purchasing prices averaged at ¥31,000~¥33,000/ton.
Among them, the H2 scrap purchasing prices in Okayama plant are at¥32,000/ton; those in Kyushu plant are at ¥32,000/ton; those in Tahara plant are at ¥33,000/ton; those in Utsunomiya plant are at ¥33,000/ton and those in Takamatsu steel center are at ¥31,000/ton.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Steel has reduced scrap purchasing prices for consecutive four times since this April and the total price cut amounted to ¥2,000~¥2,500/ton.
